Egypt may be famous for its history, monuments and sightseeing, but summer is for enjoying the outdoors. For cycling, swimming, splashing around in the water and exploring your limits.
Located in East Bank Luxor, the Mummification Museum presents the ancient Egyptian art of mummification and displays related artefacts and mummies.
Inaugurated in 1997, this museum explains the 70-day mummification process and will explain to you the strange rite, such as the origin of the instruments, or the social exclusion suffered by those who worked on the bodies.
